Biography

Holds a BFA from Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá (2002) and a MFA from Pratt Institute, New York (2007). Consuegra has exhibited widely in Colombia and has been invited to show his work in the country’s leading venues and events such as the Biblioteca Luis ángel Arango (Bogotá), Alliance Française (Bogotá), 40 Salón Regional de Artistas (Bogotá), 41 Salón Nacional de Artistas (Cali), and the International Encounter of Medellín—MDE07, among others. Consuegra is interested developing projects that are sensitive to time, place, and audience. In addition to his personal practice, Consuegra is co-founder and member of the editorial board of Revista Asterisco (www.revistasterisco.org)—an independent visual arts magazine from Colombia.
